RICE & Marine SCR Catalyst

HANLAN’s experience in mobile and stationary SCR technology permits it to assist operators of RICE (Reciprocating Internal Combustion Engine) and Marine SCR systems to reach their environmental goals. HANLAN SCR catalysts are well-suited for NOx reduction following combustion of high sulfur fuels as RICE and Marine applications have characteristics of both mobile and stationary applications.

Description

HANLAN has significant expertise in designing catalysts that can perform across a broad range of gaseous, liquid, and solid fuels including: natural gas, refinery gas, syngas, diesel oil, crude oil, heavy fuel oil, vacuum residual oil, orimulsion, asphalt, coal, petroleum coke, wood, and biomass. The experience base includes light oil, heavy oil, and asphalt fired units with fuel sulfur levels ranging from 0.1% to 5.4% and units with over 50,000 operating hours on such fuels.

HANLAN understands scr catalyst deactivation for RICE and Marine applications. For larger engines and heavier fuels, SCR reactor design and catalyst selection can be similar to stationary applications. It is key to manage the SCR interaction with sulfur and the SCR poison loading from the heavier fuels and lube oils. The management of reversible deactivation due to ABS pore plugging at low operating temperatures is paramount to the feasibility of the of post turbocharger SCR systems.
